Has anyone had the opportunity to read Russell Brand's Revolution yet? I'm interested to know what people think, as I've only ever read reviews from mainstream news outlets and unsurprisingly they weren't particularly favourable.

Started reading Inherent Vice and I've probably never been so intrigued, confused and entertained by a book. Reminds me a bit of Slaughterhouse Five, tho I'm not sure why.

just finished It. I've never seen such an offensively horrible end to a story in my life. it was so good up until then too.

Other than having a few too many characters to keep track of and the repetitive names, One Hundred Years of Solitude was perfect

I didn't finish Swann's Way last night because I don't think it's a book I could ever finish. I spent a whole month reading it even though I read consistently every single night because I reread nearly every single passage and it just felt so different each time. I'd still be reading it if not for the fact that it's a library book and was due last week. Just amazing.

It really is amazing

Proust is my favorite writer. It's just unreal how beautiful the language is

I'm looking forward to reading the others. I don't think anyone borrows them from the library because they're always just there. I left a bookmark in between to see if they'd be moved around while I was gone and it stayed there for 3 weeks, after which I borrowed this one. Now I see why.

I was planning to stop buying physical books wherever possible but I think this is just something I have to own and touch the pages with my hands and maybe read every year on my birthday or something.

Reading from it, even if it was just a page or two, was like being in a dream with a storyline and closing the book was akin to waking up and wanting to stay in bed for a couple more minutes.
