Acoustic Guitar Recording Ringing Sound

Hi, quick question.

I'm new to recording acoustic guitar and I have been having trouble with a ringing sound that my microphone picks up from my guitar. I know it is coming from my guitar and all of my guitars make the ringing sound. Here's a clip:

I can cut around 987hz with EQ to sort of get rid of it, but I would rather not do that. The ringing sound changes frequency when I use alternate tunings. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I'm playing on a Taylor 410ce and my microphone is an MXL 4000 going into a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB interface.

Are you monitoring through speakers as you play?

Try recording without any effects. You're apparently into heavy reverb and maybe a litle delay. Roll those off and record cleanly.

Next I would suggest moving the microphone to different spots when you record. Find the sweet spot and you should be good to go.

From what I heard, I would guess at some type of harmonic resonance coming through the mic/guitar... so when you try different mic placements it should go away.

Let us know and between everyone here we can help you out.

I suggest putting the mic(s) in a clean sock. By covering the mic you knock down the excess high frequencies that are causing the ringing.

Could be the resonant frequency of the room?
EQ wise try dipping first, 2nd and third harmonics of the 937Hz if you think that the big problem area, it sure did sound like it was around that 1K area.
Is your reverb in the recording chain a send or insert?

Sorry, I can't really hear what you're getting at, it's hard to tell what's part of the recording and what's side effects of the reverb....

Have you considered a mechanical problem with the guitar, like a high fret? It might be the case that you don't notice it while playing (due to the acoustic coupling of the guitar to your body etc) but you can hear it during playback.

Thanks for taking the time to post a clip with your question btw.
