Hey UG. You guys have any good pictures of spring setups? My Jackson is so close to being perfect. Awesome neck, great tone, good intonation... however...
I use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys (.09 - .46). While strings 1, 2, and 3 (E, B, G) are in tune 4, 5, and 6 (D, A, E) will be flat, close... but flat. Basically what I'm asking is how should I set up my FR springs so all the strings are at perfect pitch. Pictures would be great. Tips are welcome too. Thanks!

The springs aren't used to tune the guitar.
If the bridge if coming out too much tighten the screws in the back and if the bridge is too far into the body loosen them. |

Then you don't need to adjust the springs. As you tune one string it affects all the other ones, as you keep going they are affected less and less until eventually they are all in tune. Then lock the nut and tune again using the fine tuners. |

Guess I didn't tune up enough then. I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Depends on how you like your whammy to wham
I like three springs for a stiffer bar and I keep one guitar with two springs for super soft easy dives. My strat style guitar I keep 4 for just a bit of vibrato. Experiment and see what YOU like and not pay to much attention what others are doing. Just make sure you are familiar with how to set up your trem and even out the spring and string tension so you keep your trem level to the guitar.
