As far as weight on an LP, I bought a used 2006 Korean made Epiphone LP Custom on Ebay a few months ago. It is a beautiful white LP Custom that is mint, not a scratch on it but why did I get it so cheap ($230.00) I wondered? Because the thing weighs 11.4 lbs. I used a digital scale to confirm what my shoulder had already told me. It plays great but it will not be a gig guitar since it can't be played for more than a few songs at a time.

New pots - good
chrome instead of gold - sad

I'm usually disappointed when I see 345 and 355's for sale that have been modified by removing the gold hardware and (on the 355s) the stereo wiring and Varitones. It functionally and (for the most part) optically drops them back to 335s. And while I've got 335s that I love, a good early 355 is on my short list. I keep running into models that are "all original, except for upgraded..."

While I realize it's that guy's guitar and not mine, and that the chrome hardware is probably more practical and/or that his taste is different from mine, it's just sort of sad to see a 345 downgraded.

Really showing your age there

I'd prefer CDs but got pissed off with storing them so only buy certain bands now. Everything else comes from iTunes. I'm a late adopter... I don't care for spotify et al. I use the free version to check out stuff to buy but hate the idea of renting music.
I'm just about in the noughties I think but musically q bit stuck in the nineties.

I'm pretty sure I'm probably going to regress at some point....

Don't get me wrong- I appreciate the portability/storage aspect, but I prefer the (marginally) better sound quality, the cover art, and the discovery of the unexpected that comes with buying a new, whole CD.

I have bought one of those 160GB iPods for holding my collection on. And given that they're phasing them out, I might just buy a couple more if they go in clearance.

And yes, I need that kind of storage. I stopped counting around 4500 CDs, covering classical, jazz, new wave, classic rock, metal, grunge, and a host of other genres. No opera, though. The rare bit of opera I enjoy, I don't enjoy enough to want to own.

That is the problem with MP3s - you miss the tactile and visual aspects. I miss that. I miss having the time to sit down and listen. A lot of my listening is on the go these days.

The only exercise a guitar player needs is the RROHPL, or Reducing Resistance One Handed Pint Lift.

Every rep, the weight reduces a bit, so it gets easier(until you finish, and get a new one) as you go.

I use Spotify, but I'm tight like that.

Got a new job, within my current job, so into shift work.

They are all over the place, but its only a temp thing for a few months, but the money is great and I'm off over Xmas so pretty chuffed with that.
