Well it wouldn't be very earth like, in that case.

Very true, but it could be habitable nonetheless.

Wisconsin is mainly inhabited by beer and cheese, though.

Heyyyyyy...

Maybe Nemesis is a beer giant with rings of cheese!

Nice, I was actually looking for one of those a while back, and that's a pretty good price.

If you decide to turn it at some point let me know and if I'm "gear fund" flush maybe we can make a deal.

It's also far too hypothetical for me to consider living there.

Oh god. Class is canceled after 4pm today for inclement weather. Was supposed to have a linear systems test, which was already going to be super hard, but now it's going to be straight up impossible when we have to take it on Monday. This has happened before with him and he takes the chance to basically double the length of the exam.

Remain clam. Err...calm.

If you can keep your wits about you, your brain will work more efficiently. By keeping a level head, you will be more able to recall what you studied under test conditions.

I once read in one of my psych classes that the mental state you study in should be the mental state you take the test in, to aid in recall... I took that real seriously for the next couple years.

Yeah, it has voicings from the Classic 50 to the JSX ultra channel, but there is only one set of EQ for the entire amp. They run <$400 used which I still think is a decent deal for what they are

Oh yea, that's not a problem for me. I'm a pro at staying calm under test conditions. This professor is just notorious for making tests far too long to actually finish when this happens, and the way he structures the questions means that you have to complete the test linearly and can't skip around to parts which take less time to maximize credit. The last time this happened, the class average was a 5/100.

Ultimately, it shouldn't be too bad since he grades based on your relative performance. He's also a stats prof, so he plots everything on a Gaussian curve and distribute grades based on that. So I'll make an A if I can just beat everyone else in my class, which is no real problem. An absolute number grade of something like a 40/100 is totally demoralizing though.

Music is actually really useful for that. Been using the original AAL album for that basically since it came out.

Yep. Saw the same info. Even saw people study drunk and test drunk & sober by way of proof. Seemed to bear out, though sample size was small.

Agreed. If I have to study something to the point of memorization for rote recall, I usually choose a single album and put it on replay. Usually, something I'm very familiar with, so that whether it has lyrics or not, I'm not getting distracted by it, just grooving to it.

And when I have to recall what I'm studying, that music is on infinite repeat in my head...

I'bpv actually had teachers wonder about me, since it often looked like I was listening to music- bobbing my head, etc.- during tests. If earbuds had been a big thing in HS/college, I'm sure someone would have tapped me on the shoulder, looking for them.
