Epiphone.....?

How bad do y'all think I could get burned on this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guit...electric-guitar

A left handed version is expected to ship within the next few days.

I'm guessing solid spruce top, laminated maple B & S.

It has their twin pickup stereo output preamp system..

I got burned so bad on the LH 12 string I bought from Epi, I almost feel stupid for asking. Yet still, that looks like it could be fun.

OK, let me rephrase that. "Given that I'm aware that I would be punishing myself, and with no admission of guilt that I could possibly deserve it, would I be punishing myself less or more with that, than the 2 Ibanez' & Fender 6 strings which I already own"?

That's not very nice, now is it?

Anyhoo, I'm not asking you to compare "turds to diamonds", I'm asking you to compare, "turds to turds".

Given what you know I have in the way of 6 strings, (2 Ibby lams, and my Fender "Sonoran"), where would you think the Epi J-200 copy fits in that pecking order? Is it better or worse than what I have? Is it better than the Ibanez', but not as good as the Fender?

At least around my way they do! But then, I live in the hood.

I'm thinking the EJ-200 is at least better than my Ibanez EW20 Ash plywood wonder, probably better than my spruce laminated Ibanez AEL10, (jumbo), and I'm stuck as to whether it's better than my "Sonoran" (solid top dread).

I like the idea of a maple body, and the 2 point AE system. It doesn't have to compete with Taylor or Martin, I just would have to not feel burned for spending $430.00.

Yeah, even the step down Gibson, J-100, has the, "moustache bridge". In that case it doesn't have the MOP inserts:

Why yes they do Patti, funny you should ask. In the same way creme rises, a premium turd floats to the top of the bowl!
