Warwick amps are niiiiiiiiiiice.

Its fine that GC doesn't stock them anymore, when they did it was all just standard Corvettes anyways. They still sell used ones they pick up here and there so sometimes I see old Thumbs or FL 'Vettes on the walls.

I gotta get my hands on an SC Thumb still...

Here in L.A., we saw some of the higher-end Warwicks at Guitar Center: neck-through Thumbs, the odd Dolphin. But never the amplifiers. They are so damned expensive, and for the money, people would rather splurge on an Ampeg Heritage SVT. I think that if they are requiring dealers to stock the whole line of amplifiers, it is a dead end. People just do not seem to want them; no matter how good they are.

Since I've started playing out doing more shows with multiple bands, it seems almost every bassist is running Ampeg.

A lot of the Japanese dealers are just dumping their contracts with Warwick/Framus for those exact reason.

Literally my friend has a Jonas Hellborg system in his shop that been sitting there for years with nobody even trying it out due to how ridiculously expensive it is. Even the small 10w amp doesn't sell since it's priced similarly to a used TC Electronic BG250 1x15 combo.

In related news Fender plans a slight mark up in MSRP for the 2015 model year. It includes a reversed tiered plan which all non-Squier foreign made instruments will get a 6-9% increase of MSRP. While American made instruments get a lower 2-4% increase over the entire year.

I think Fender has better feel for what the consumer wants/needs than Gibson.

+1 to the Ampeg SVT. Whether you're sheep or have gone through the various brands, it seems nothing sounds/feels like that rig.

Very thin and trebely elephant fart.

Someone should name a bass pedal like that. The Elephant Fart (Zvex Woolly Mammoth clone)
