Might Mite Neck: Is it unfinished???

I have just received a Mighty Mite MM2902 neck for strat, with a maple fingerboard. It is supposed to have a satin finish, however I can't seem to see it. From what I can tell, it is either an extremely thin coat, or it is natural and has been sanded very fine. There is no other evidence of a finish, apart from a very mild sheen (which could be from the natural wood). Is this normal with these necks?

Any way to tell for sure if it is finished?

Thanks

Put a drop of water on it. If it's wood, it will soak in, if it's poly, it will roll off.

If you have to question whether or not there is a finish at all on it, there most definitely is a finish on it.

Raw wood is instantly identifiable.

I tried the water drop test; it did not seep in. The seller has assured me that my neck is the one I purchased.
