I love Williams. His is the most tragic loss of an actor for me in my life so far.

I cried so ****ing hard at his last scene in Night At The Museum 3. His last ever (live action) line was so ****ing upsetting.

I watched The Angriest Man in Brooklyn after he died and it was really sad how much that was apparently an actual reflection on his life.

Yeah, this was very upsetting to watch after his death.

I highly recommend.

Absolutely Anything looks pretty bad though. It has a great comedy pedigree but it still doesn't look very good. Would be happy to be wrong.

Just finished a film called Je T'aime Je T'aime by Alain Resnais. It was pretty boring, mostly due to the fact that the film has absolutely no driving force. It's basically about a guy who has a failed suicide attempt, so he's chosen to be a tester of a time machine that was only used on mice, effectively. Then, when he enters the time machine, he basically travels at random between random moments of his life, only the last 5/6 years apparently.

The thing is, nothing really happens; his life isn't very interesting and it's always around his relationship with a woman who's depressed, and his cheating acts, but all very vague and emotionally detached.

The best example is, it's like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind if Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind had absolutely no plot.

That long, held final shot of Ethan Hawke though. What a great film.

uhh Dead Poets Society is alright. Williams was terrific and stuff but I expected more from it.

If... is a much better film

Weird comparison, but yeah. If... is pretty good.

I don't see what's so inspiring on Dead Poets Society. It always felt a bit like a tearjerker to me.

what's weird about it? They're both set in 1950s board schools where some students become rebellious against parents/faculty.

Lifeforce is exactly the kind of film I'm surprised I don't hear more people talk about. It's an interesting take on the vampire horror and sci-fi invasion genres. Everything about it is executed rather well and I'd recommend it.

It also features a guest appearance from the "Glasgow's Miles Better" campaign.

Yeah, but idk, it's a pretty different execution and tone.

Those two things are why it's the better film of the exact same subject
