VHT Tube Replacement
I love the sound of the VHT special 6 with the stock tubes but as I read around the internet people are saying replace the tubes and get better tubes. I was thinking about replacing the 6V6 output tube. I see vintage 6V6GT tubes on ebay and was wondering of they have the same output and would be fine to use? If I just bought new tubes (JJ or EH) would they sound as good as some of these vintage tubes. I've read good things about the old Tong-Sol 6V6GT tubes.

I have the same amp and was doing a bit of snooping around to see what other people are suggesting.
Most people are recommending these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221038648...984.m1423.l2649

New production JJ's are usually pretty darn good, new production Tung Sols are good too.
