Woot! Giants shut out the Dodgers two nights in a row. Win 4-0 today. Only 2.5 games out of first now. Bumgarner v. Kershaw III tomorrow afternoon.

Lincecum has a 2.09 ERA on the season. He's become a contact pitcher who is just pretty much pitching for ground balls, but at least it's effective for now.

It's amazing how some pitchers never make an effort to do this when they start losing their velocity. Keep the ball down, change speeds, pitch to contact, and let your defense play behind you...I know it's a lot easier said then done, but it's such a fundamental aspect of pitching in my mind.

deGrom's line from today's game against the Cardinals: 8 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 11 K. Not bad.

The Giants just completed a 3 game shutout sweep of the Dodgers.

Second time they've swept them at AT&T this season.

7 in a row!

Also, holy crap.

This Brandon Belt home run. http://m.mlb.com/video/v126776883/m...?game_pk=414281

475 feet. Apparently that's the longest Coors field home run since 2004.

So both games of the Giants doubleheader are likely to be rained out. Screw the Rockies, screw Coors, and screw Dinger. Move the team to Portland and build them a dome.

We lost.

In a series where we had twelve shutout innings in one game - including seven from Mike Wright, who has kicked ass in both of his major league starts - we somehow lost.

To the goddamn Marlins.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING

new favorite youtuber. Anyone heard of dodgerfilms? The guy has filmed himself catching in game homeruns twice this month. I've been a sub for a while but the channel has gotten extra awesome recently.

Khris Davis was almost ruled out on a home run when he almost missed home plate

It got overturned, but he was called out initially. Giants win 8-4

Is there some significance to them playing the Kirby theme to Super Smash Bros when Rodney blows a save?
