International laney LC30-112 vs laney lionheart lt5-metal needs

Yeah the answer seems clear probably for metal needs but the problem remains for the budget. LC is stightly higher for me.
Another facts which makes me daviate towards lionheart is its versitality, super transperency, and hand wired building..... that is its made in UK tag. And my made in chine lc15 suffered 5 succesive repairs thats what i am upgrading to.

Ps- i am aware that both the options are not completely for metal, but those are the only value for money and mass imported items of my country. I am equipped with good boss rig which made some monster tones with my previous lc too.

Thanks for reading and replying

Sorry, whats the question?

Neither are really suited to what I think you want.

You're better off going out of your way for the Ironheart.

As i mentioned, boss analog gear of mine would give me enough tone shapping....so was i satisfied with the previous LC.
For now...i really need your word regarding versitality, overdrive channel transperency, and which one would help dig the tone or better take my pedals good.
Thanks

What about used gear? I mean there has to be some other amps than only those two available.

And made in UK... made in China... Who cares? Made in China doesn't mean bad quality and made in UK doesn't mean good quality. It's just cheaper to make the amps in China and you will get more bang for your buck with a Chinese made amp.

What is your budget, location, what kind of metal do you play (bands)?

And what kind of "Boss gear" do you have?

Hey thanks for the reply,
No used gear gears here, and if still there it wont br maintanance free and i have no repairs in 500km radius.
I was more keen or fascinated about the handwireds though. I heard them to last decades.
My budget is 45000 indians or 750 americans.
I am a metallica tone hunter.
Ps. I have to choose between laney to get the replacement
Thanks bro.

All I know about the amps is that LC30 is higher wattage and more modern sounding and has more gain. Haven't tried the Lionheart though but I think it's pretty vintage sounding, nearer to Laney VC30 that I have. And I wouldn't recommend my VC30 primarily (and not even secondarily) for metal. I sometimes play some Metallica songs but the sound is what it is. Clean channel is great, though and might be good for pedals. But if you are going to buy the Lionheart, it's only 5 watts so if you need to play it louder, it will distort and it's hard to get clean sounds.

Here's a demo of LT5. 5:45 is gain at full. That's the maximum amount of distortion you will get out of the amp. And as you can hear, the voicing of the amp is not really metal.

LC30 demo.

In general.

Not OK at all
A vs. B - which is a better (insert guitar, amp, pedal, string, neck, tone wood etc etc).

Slight more kosher
I want to buy a (insert guitar, amp, pedal, string, neck, tone wood etc etc), I need to use it for (insert gig / home-use / metal / blues / sound like band or guitarist). I've managed to limit it to A and B. Please tell me the pros and cons of A and B.

I've got the Lionheart and it's an awesome little amp: it sounds great, very dynamic and versatile, appart from looking awesome and being very well built. And it's pretty damn loud for being just 5 W (it's just as loud as my other amp, a modded 15 W Fender Blues Jr., which is already a quite loud amp for its small size). But as it's been said, it's a 100% vintage sounding amp, so you won't find any metal tones with it. As shown in that video, a more old school hard rock tone is the most you'll get, but what this amp excels at is at low to mid gain tones (think blues, classic rock gain) and warmer, lower gain jazz tones.

I personally love it and use it for everything but metal and more modern sounding stuff, so, as awesome as it is, I'm afraid it wouldn't do what you want it to do at all.

I just realised you're referring to the Lionheart and not the Ironheart, why not consider that instead? The Ironheart is more geared towards metal.

pretty much what raging kitty said. it should be pretty obvious what is ok and what isn't. if someone is asking a genuine question about what to buy and has narrowed it down to two options (for whatever reason), that's normally ok. threads which will most likely turn into flamewars (like, "what's better- strats or teles?") or which are possibly troll threads aren't ok.

Got rocking with the lc30! Damm satisfied with it, really takes your pedals/effects well and gives the complete flexibility imo.
