FYI Just in case: If you are planning on using the line-out, you will still need a speaker load. Don't run it without a cab!

Nice, Deenis!

667, that goes for the Vengeance as well. It kinda bugs me that the didn't include a silent record option on the Renegade and Vengeance. It certainly would have been a nice, useable feature.

If anyone's interested, I played a gig yesterday with my Armageddon and I recorded it (video). The sound quality is pretty good apart from the guitars being too low (we asked the sound guy to raise them to no avail).

I'm uploading it after a bit of editing and i'll post the link. I've been using the Armageddon as my A rig for a few months now, played over a dozen shows and have full band pracs twice a week and she hasn't missed a beat yet

Have you ever heard the simulated cab that the XLR out gives? I've been wanting to try it out. Lots of people say that running it through a VST cab impusle is much better quality

I still prefer the old mic to the cab though.

Actually, the clips on my profile are recorded with the XLR out into a PA head into my computer's sound card. That was before a re-tube and before i knew about Reaper, so it's recorded with Audacity, but they sound pretty decent. I would still prefer a mic'd cab all day long, but it definitely works.

Once I grab an interface, I'm going to re-record some Demos of it. I'll run the XLR out into the interface and then use an SM57 to mic the cab and record the same clips for a comparison.

When that'll be, I can't say, since I'm pretty tight on cash right now, but an interface and SM57 is the next "big" purchase on my list.

Also, I PM'd "I am wet" about deleting the thread and letting me start V3, and he never replied

AxSilentxLine, did you get that video edited and uploaded? I'd like to hear it. I have some vids on the Youtubes of me gigging with my band using my Vengeance, but they don't have the best audio quality. I would still be happy to share, though, if anyone is interested

Welcome! and Congrats again on the Tweaker 40!

Those amps are great, especially when it comes to versatility. They also take pedals extremely well, with plenty of options to tweak the amp's response to the pedal.

How do you like it for Thrash?

Yeah, Egnaters can be quite overwhelming

Bruce likes his switches

I just thought I remembered you wanting an amp for Thrash, but I could have confused it with another thread. Reading like 50 a day, things start to blur together after a while

Like I said, I love adding pedals to those amps. It's pretty impressive when the amp adds versatility to a pedal (in a way). Just the tweakers by themselves, though, are so much damn fun to play with. I think as a first tube amp, you can't ask for anything better. It really opens you up to the response and tones that different other amps will be similar to. It kinda is like the melting pot of tube amps.

THA TWEAKER IS LIKE 'MERICA!

Nope. You had the right thread. I just still suck at playing. Lol. I try to add a new song every few days to my list. But I'm a lot older then I was 15 years ago. Still working on getting my dexterity speed back. It's not like riding a bike.

Now I am looking at a new pedal. I messed around with my brothers zoomG7. I really liked it so now I am looking for something similar. Any suggestions?

I'm totally clueless when it comes to MultiFX stuff. Really, effects in general aren't really my strong suit. I know a few good boost/overdrive pedals, and a few good distortions, but other than that, I'm clueless.

I'm better with amps, cabs, speakers, and pickups.

Any egnater users have any tips for getting their egnater to simulate a fender clean tone?

I have an egnater vengeance, a mexi strat w/ single coil dragonfire pickups and a bucker at the bridge, two eq pedals (de fish n chips, and mxr 10 band), and a bad monkey.

My buddy has a fender super sonic, and an american fender strat w two single coils and a bucker at the bridge.

His tone sounds much more articulate, fat, and full- especially when playing an open low e note. My bass seems to break up a bit. Also, his tone inherently has a bluesy sound to it- mine is a bit more flat.

I notice that he plays a little bit louder than i do- i heard that cranking the master will bring out the fender character more. But where should my preamp vols be?

Any help appreciated, thanks!
