New strings and a Boss OC-2

Does anyone know if there will be a difference in my sound if I change my strings to a thicker gauge when I run it through a Boss OC-2? More specifically, how will the octaved sound change? Will it result in a louder, thicker, more steady bass sound? For skipping from like a .09 to a .11 for example

No, the lower octave sound is synthesized so its tone will not be affected by your basic tone. If the unit isn't tracking very well it might sound a bit warbly or sick, but strings probably won't change the tracking. Using the neck pickup with the tone down a bit should help it track a bit better. The pedal should also be early in the chain, with a compressor in front if you use one.

Try something new
