That is ridiculously specific. Do you have street smarts?

I'm going to buy some new Lugz since mine have a large crack on the bottom. I cannot decide for the life of my which to get, any thoughts/opinions?

All the same model (except for the last one), they come up about three or four inches past the ankle.

I like the style of the first 3 best, probably going with numero 2.

I never had a set of lugz before; I am partial to Doc Martins, Redwings, and I had a set of Dickies that wasn't too bad. All steel toe.

I was thinking of Doc Martins, but the price ranges are really brutal. Way too expensive for my blood. I took a gander at Redwing shoes and they don't look half bad, but I really like the style of the Lugz. I don't really need steel toe, my boots are more for the antarctic style winters and general waywardness I commit to/general wear.

Thanks for the opinions, I was thinking either 2 or 3. The brown might be too much colour for my attire, and the look of the last one is kind of iffy.

well, I needed steel toe for work, and I was on my feet all day so I shelled out for quality boots. I generally paid $200 for a solid pair. At least, thats what I recall my Redwings and DMs costing.

I love my Bates boots. I was breaking in a pair for the Navy thing (that's what they issue) but I will continue to buy Bates in the future I think. Really lightweight and durable and I have walked through multiple streams last whitetail season without so much as a damp toe.

I've heard GREAT things about Bates, but yeah so pricey. Not looking for cheap boots either, like at a few military surplus stores around here. I see so many metal listeners in places like that it's ridiculous.

Well I can't imagine you'd need steel boots for much else, haha. But who knows, maybe you you're going to a Boyd Rice show. I think that's a little out of my price range, but I mean, I really only wear them in winter is the other thing and that's to and from school.

I think Doc Martens are probably a great purchase, and I think I will get a pair when I can afford it. Wish there was a place to try them on around here though, odd that Edmonton has the second biggest mall on the planet but no places to buy decent boots.

Actually, I just looked and apparently there is a Doc Marten shop in the mall. Ridiculous. I didn't even see it.

To be fair, second biggest mall and all that. >.>

Checked out some Doc Marten's yesterday at the DM store. It was so awful in there. Hipster central, but the lady there was nice. Didn't see anything that I really liked though.

Just started watching the best show ever:
