most people won't know any of those sadly. newer acts though.. cant think of many, or any, guess I'm stuck in the 90s metal wise, not counting solid Melodic Death Metal haha. Also Morpho have I sent you the last of the I Didn't Kill Her tab? should help me finish it lol

Eh, you're right, I just give too much credit to people having the power of the internet I guess. And I know I got some tab of yours for I Didn't Kill Her but I don't know if it's the latest. Give it to me either way though and I'll see if I can help. I know I got a fair bit of it figured out up until the corpse-****in' part.

haha most of it is done just need the last few riffs and that last solo, it's a compilation of various tabs with corrections by me, if you got some corrections feel free to suggest them haha but that'd be cool yeah. here goes

I didn't tab like any of it except the "awesome" riff #4 or so, the rest were from tabs scattered over the net that I fixed up and corrected lawl

What do you lads think of making genre primers. What I have in mind is a sort of compilation that encompasses basics and bests of a genre for others to get an idea of it

Like, a playlist of "Best of..." songs for every major subgenre? Probably be a good idea and make it a lot easier for people to go through instead of having a big, intimidating list.

It is for people who dont have time to go through weeks worth of material. Especially when theyre the kind of people that want to really let the music soak in and not just give a passing listen and forget about it forever.

It's not that taxing to give each album a thorough listen, really

It isnt, but the target audience is not one who has refined their listening habits as of yet. Ideally, everyone would listen to an album three times through minimum before passing judgement, and listen with no external distractions. We know this isn't the case. Offering a primer for neophytes gives them a sample that isn't as daunting as say listening to Obscura all the way through in one go, nor is it as taxing. The variety of aesthetics could stimulate them to further explore albums and sounds, which is the prime directive.
