Thing is the pots are shot and the wiring was ****ed. I've decided to redo all the wiring and change out the Fender atomic humbuckers for the sake of something different. I'm thinking a Seymour Duncan Invader on the bridge. But I need advice on good humbucker with good clean tone for the neck. Also I've never had any experience with wiring or pots and recommendations on pots. Should I stick with fender pots or is there a better option?

Post punk with melody... most mainstream I could put it is maybe Deftones.

You might want to look at the Duncan SH-6, Custom Custom or Alternative 8 for the bridge and SH-2 for the neck

I like Bournes 500k pots and Sprauge Orange drop .022uf caps.

I just did a quick google search and SC from Deftones used EMG pickups with his 6 strings. So maybe something like the Dimarzio D-activators (passive pickups that sound like actives.
