Effect chain order help?

I currently have a Zoom g3 multi fx unit but i just think the overdrive and distortion sounds are too digital sounding, so i'm thinking of investing in an overdrive pedal and maybe a wah.

If i do get individual pedals it might be worth knowing that i'll proably only be using the G3 for Delays and reverbs

My question is, if i bought 2 seperate pedals, how would they fit into the chain best?

eg.

OD => Wah => Zoom G3 => Amp

Wah => OD => Zoom G3 => Amp

Zoom G3 => OD => Wah => Amp

this would be the most logical choice

Wah => OD => Zoom G3 => Amp

as you want the wah to be in front of the OD and other effect such as chorus and delay, reverb etc after the OD.

But as always, experiment to determine what sound good to you.

Always put delay closest to amp so the time is correct,distortion after so your distortion is going into delay into amp, wah and volume pedals go right before tuner into guitar. That is what I've learned over videos and experience. So in your case Guitar-wah-OD-zoomg3-amp

Here is a more broad idea for all pedals for on average the best sound.

Guitar-tuner-volume pedal-wah-Over drives-distortion- reverbs phasers tremelos(things of that nature you would have to figure out which order works for you)-delays-amp
