Sam Adams' Stony Brook Red is surprisingly very good.

I think I can safely say that I have never had a Sam Adams beer that I liked. Their Rebel IPA is awful and and they shouldn't be allowed to call it a West Coast style IPA.

Anyway, I decided to pick up a sixer of Karl Strauss Red Trolley Ale. It's from a San Diego brewery and it's won 2 world beer cup golds for an Irish style red. This beer is amazing. Nice and malty with a caramel/toffee sweetness to it.

Is that the berry-tasting one from the corked bottle?

Tried it a few months ago and the first sip caught me off guard, because I was expecting a beer-y taste that I didn't receive. Overall I'd agree, it's a pretty good beer.

Cold Snap
Cream Stout
Irish Red

Tried any of those? I think they're the best SA has to offer.

SA Noble Pils was really enjoyable, but I recently heard they discontinued it. A shame.

SA makes some beer I enjoy, but nothing too special. Boston Lager is a classic. Old Fezziwig is good, but often forgotten since it's seasonal. Tasman Red IPA, East-West Kölsch, Irish Red, Scotch Ale, and Double Agent are all enjoyable.

Nope. Being on the West Coast, the only beers I regularly see from them are the Boston lager, Rebel IPA, Rebel Rouser, and Rebel Rider, although I've had a few of their seasonals.

Yeah, it's their take on a Flanders red ale (a sour) and also "oak barrel aged."

The result is delicious

This is what happens when you and your friend grow hops, but don't brew often enough to make use of them all.

In my fridge right now I've got SA Cream Stout (my personal favorite), their summer ale (right behind stout, I like wheat beers), and their take on a shandy. Porch Crawler it's called. (That's also not counting the guinness I use to cook with.) I thought their Octoberfest was good with a burger. I'm not too keen on their Boston Lager (better on tap than bottle), and their Cherry Wheat was way too medicinal for my liking.

The Buffalo Wild Wings by my house used to have 90 minute IPA on tap but they got rid of it I did have it once before they stopped carrying it and I have to say, it's one of the best beers I've ever had.

^ I'm guessing all the ones in the center are the same as the bottom left -- Cascade.

Maybe some Chinook?

Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, and I think Magnum and Perle? I forget exactly which ones my friend grows.

Well I went to the store and decided to pick up some beer to fuel my new milk stout addiction. I guess I got a bad batch because the DuckRabbit Milk Stout tastes more like a sour... and not in a good way!

Do you intend to dry them out at all or just freeze them and use them as quick as you can?
