Alternative/Psychedelic Scales
What are some scales that are common and would be useful for solos Alternative rock (preferably 90's alternative) and Psychedelic music?

Pentatonic. Then add loads of acid, weed and effects pedals.

You can also use an eastern scale which is 0-1-4-5-7-8-11-12, adds a bit of flavour.
