Pro Tools 10 interface question (quick)

Can pro tools 10 (/11) run through third party interfaces (not Avid). Am going to be upgrading to tools and wondering if I can use it with an Alesis IO2

Thanks

PT11 and PTHD11 are both compatible with 3rd party interfaces.

Apparently also if it's not HD there's no input monitoring. How bizarre!

there is a more limited range currently with Protools 11 (updates should open up more options I hear)

but do some googling you should be able to confirm if the Alesis I02 currently works with it.

currently PT 11 is only 3/4 there in features ( Limited TCE for example) and plugins ( eleven Rack interface, Plus Waves etc )

But the fact PT 10 installs alone side makes it not a major problem to keep you from working.

Pro Tools has been compatible with third party interfaces since version 9.
