I need to try Bitches Brew. I've heard great things about it.

I was at Troegs last night. They had a new red ale on tap that was pretty tasty.

Yeah I really want to try it, but I've yet to see it on a shelf.(Bitches Brew)

I'm drinking Kona Brewery's Longboard Ale. Not my favorite, honestly but it was like 7.50/6pk. So at least it was cheap ish.

it's incredible. i don't think i've ever had a beer that had a high abv (9%), was super dark and rich, and had an incredibly potent flavor that was even close to as light as this. i still don't understand how they did it. it's almost like stout richness, color, and boldness of flavor in the body of an ale.

ignoring taste, because it's really preference-based, the aesthetics of the beer are FLAWLESS. smell, color, head, mouthfeel, etc

i savored the SHIT out of that beer, because when it got warmer, it didn't get kinda gross

FINALLY found Vitus at a (great) beer store in Seattle. Also found Weihenstephaner Hefe on tap at an awesome German restaurant.

Got two Vitus' and two Aventinus' for tomorrow. It's gonna be glorious. What a duo

Enjoying a Cultivator from Troegs. It's a new Spring seasonal offering from them. It's a helles bock/maibock, and it's delicious. I really love the maibock style, but few US craft brewers make them.

Made curry chicken for lunch. Cultivator pairs with it brilliantly.

You seem to be missing some US brews on that list.

Got some Hofbrau Munchen today. Sounded real familiar so i grabbed the 6pack. My local liquor store has a dece selection, but I don't have a smart phone so when I go beer shopping its either for something I've had, something I read about/recognize, or something that seems interesting to try. It is okay, its like heineken or Grolsch.

Yes indeed. It's hard to find good american beers in Europe.
I don't know if there are american beers which can taste the same as belgian abbey trappipst beers. I imagine that local beers doesn't export much. It must be the same in both ways.
