I saw Dumb and Dumber too last week and it was better than I expected. But I went in with very low expectations. me and my drummer have been friends since high school and we saw it together back then, and we had to go see it 20 yrs later. Only this time we didn't have shitty dirt weed, I rolled a fatty and we got stoned as hell.

Good times
But Damn movies are way more expensive now than I remember

Yea, regular theaters are expensive. Draft House is $8/ticket though, so as long as you don't spend too much on food/booze, it's not horrible. Bullock Museum is $11 for an IMAX ticket, and there's no real food/drinks to spend money on, so again, not horrible. Cinemark/AMC are the worst. $18-20 for an IMAX ticket (and the screen isn't anywhere near as nice as Bullock Museum's), plus easily $15-20 in drinks/popcorn per person.

Last movie I saw in a theater was either The Dark Night or tropic thunder when I was on tour years ago.

I had wanted to see it in IMAX, it's a great one for it. There were a few times (towards the end) where I think some of the concepts could have used more fleshing out, but I guess they didn't want to bore the non-science folks in the audience. Overall I stand by opinion that it was an awesome movie after some reflection.

But then I'd have to be a filthy politician as well and to get anywhere I'd have to play their filthy game. That's the problem with democracy; it dooms us to be ruled by the lowest of the low; ie politicians. Even if the people were smart enough to choose wisely, they only get to choose a scumbag politician. There are no other options.
As William S Burroughs said, "politics is as low as a man can sink."
And that's who we want to rule?

Democracy: idiots choosing arseholes.

They start out full of shit. Politics is the art of telling the most convincing lie. People select the one that lies the best and then are surprised when they turn out to be liars and get all indignant about it. I can understand young people being fooled but once you've been alive for a while, you should know ****ing better.

Well anyway, time to go put my mark against some **** I wouldn't trust to walk my dog.
