Old country. Cash. Hank. Willie Nelson. Waylon Jennings.

New Country is just pop with an exaggerated twang. I keep saying Hank III is an embarrassment to his grandfather's name.

I thought exactly that up until a few weeks ago I thought "real" country was a dying genre but a friend of mine showed me Chris Knight, my faith was restored, its not dying its just the biggest thing in music now is pop, rap, punk pop, and really anything having to do with pop. But there are country artists out there that hold the roots to the music wether theyre a big name or not. Honestly its sad that real talent goes unnoticed next to conformists like taylor swift and all that other crap you hear anymore. So I strongly urge you to look him up, i would suggest North Dakota, Its an amazing song man.

Just like anything else in this world, real music may be unnoticed now, but it will not die.
