Im Alone (GP4/5, MIDI) [Soft Rock, Ballad...maybe?]

Its repetitive, simple and very generic...but I actually like how its going so far.

One main influence is Secondhand Serenade, a bit gay i know...but yeah

Ive only done the vocal melody for the chorus as of yet, but that'll probably completely change by the time im finished..

Yeahhh, any comments are appreciated and C4C of course

EDIT: Oh yeah..it ain't finished yet, just thought id make that clear

Intro - Nice chilled out piano, nice atmosphere.

Verse 1 - Same atmosphere, I'm liking it.

Pre chorus - Nice build up to the chorus

Chorus - The simple bass compliments the pianos nicely. Is the clarinet actually a clarinet or a vocal melody?

Verse 2 - The simple drums work well with everything.

When the overdriven guitars kick in it gives it that little bit extra umpf.

Overall - Another good piece Aaron.

Mind checkin' out my new one (wrote it last night )? http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...d.php?t=1122463

I like the piano, although it's incredibly repetitive. I like the entire song for the most part, the use of various woodwinds was quite creative, not everyday does one see a clarinet and sax in a rock song.

The use of overdriven guitar was kind of unnecessary, I liked how somber and melodic the rest of the song was beyond that, but I can see your justification for why you included it (basic rhythm over the melody). Solid song, not a favorite, but still an interesting idea. Please add lyrics, however! It does have a great amount of potential, though, keep on working on it.

Generally a very chilled out tune, peaceful and nice. Maybe some more arrangements in the intro would be nice, but the melody is good. Also, I would recommend a drum fill in the transition part.

Keep working on it, it'll be great.

A little repetitive, yes, but very good. It's incredible how 4 simple chords can make a good song. Definitely finish it and record it! 8/10 for now but you can improve it.

And... I'd give you my ballad to rate. Link is on my signature if you want. Thanks!
