Bla-bla-bla Black wicked guitar? by swiftmusiclondon

I recently did some calculations, and went for a cheap new setup on guitar.. its at least better than my current one. But im waiting to recieve this stuff still anyway as ive only just bought it.. Check it out:

Black Wicked Guitar by Swift music london

Replacement cable for my old guitars lead

Pretty cheap second hand amp which is better than my current one

My current guitar is basically a benson one with 22 frets.. 3 single coils and having the bridge pickup on only gives a weird buzzing/interferance off for some reason..

and also the current guitars lead is a bit screwed.. you know how stuff goes eventually with the bendable end piece .. takes some bending and twisting to a certain position till itll work.. so yeah the cables practically dead on that.

But by pics can you guys tell me if this is a awesome guitar or not and worth my money?

i cant seem to find reviews anywhere, im not that great at guitar or anything but i could end up making a video review of its sound etc.

post some feedback thanks.

i would get a cheap ibanez instead of that guitar.
I wouldnt get a no name guitar, they are usually made with inferior wood and the company will cut corners where ever they can.

Look into one of the ibanez or squire starter kits.
That amp also stinks... i dont know how its possible that you have a worse amp

this setup is really nice

It seems a bit iffy. That amp's no good either. Budget? Music style? Will you gig anytime soon?

That's a really nice looking guitar, must sound like crap for that price, but not sure if that amp is really any good, it's just one of them ewwy amps you get with like a first guitar kit.

Well, my current one is some benson guitar.. no idea which, it seems like a pretty common starter guitar with only 22 frets and strat.

So basically, i dont want a strat type.. i want something different looking.

And yes my amp is worse than that one there, my amps slightly smaller and pretty much benson as well.

Basically my starter guitar kit cost me abotu 70 where as this cost me about 89 which isnt a starter kit.. more of just a guitar + amp + cable for old one.

But its definitly better it pretty much most ways compared to my current one

this is my current guitar here:

I would sell all of your stuff and save up for a Yamaha Pacifica and a Roland Cube. Used of course.

hahahah clearly he wants something for metal.... and already said he didn't want a strat style guitar......

and why would you tell him to buy a yamaha pacifica.... his **** guitar is probably better than that....

I can tell you this..... This isn't going to be some insane guitar that is awesome... but for the price I think it will do you just fine.... also I would save up and get a better amp....

$300... can get you a decent amp.... try to save for that

Because everyone's heard of Benson guitars.

I would get a decent amp first. That Squire amp ain't gonna cut it. Stay away from Marshall MG's or Fender Frontmans.

Rolands are your friends. A used one would cost (at the most) 100 bucks.

i dont has much moneys lol

i had 95 or so spending budget and i spent 89. this was as cheap and effective as i could get it without making it like a mini amp (like 1/4th the size of the squire amp i bought) and without making it a guitar worse than what i bought there :P

and yeah i like metal.. i can never play guitar without using over drive.. i need to get a distorsion pedal :/

I can hear where you are coming from..... and if you have to make your upgrades in small steps... there is nothing wrong with that...

be sure to let us know how that guitar is when you get it though

hard to save up money with christmas comming up and a lot of other things u have to spend money on.. i mean, i could at christmas get lots of money and like basically use 200 to get a new amp or something, but i dont really want to shell out too much money on an amp yet. as i said, im not great at guitar or anything yet.. i dont play in a band or at gigs or anything, maybe after a year or two i will though :P

Edit: oh and slovak yeah ill post a review and possibly a video review/with sounds. considering this isnt really reviewed anywhere and swiftmusiclondon seems like a new guitar distrobuter, im not sure if they actually make these but im pretty positive they do, it just seems theyre a bit small. But great companys always start small so you never know, this guitar could end up being worth in the 100's in 20 years time as a vintage guitar (if their company becomes bigger and more popular obviously.) xD.

Practice first. You will develop an ear for good tone by listening to artists. From then on, you'll know who to emulate. Then you could buy an amp, and hopefully, you will have enough money by then, and will be able to afford it.

wolfy, ive gotten far for about 4-5 months. at least i barely play 1-2 hours a day sometimes not even 20. This new guitar will help me get back my mood in learning lol

i cant really even tune by ear yet, i have to plug it into my pc and tune a guitar using my pc...

though i can tell if something doesnt sound right and needs tuning of course.

also, i have aspergers syndrome so thats like +1 to musical talent ;3.
and also i can learn very fast.. another +1, and i have all 3 learning styles (visual, audial, kinesthetic) and ive been able to play Guitar hero on expert since about 3-4 months before i got a actual guitar.. so another +1 and ive played games since i was 3 xD.

im sure ill be able to pick up playing guitar much better if i just spend more time on it, i just need the will to keep motivated. If that guitar rising game came out.. and maybe posted some news on when it is comming out.. well that game would motiviate me to get better.

But yeah if i spend like a hour or so constantly practicing a song i usually end up learning it and perfecting it but if i try to master it over playing 10 minutes a day.. well i dont end up learning it within 2-3 weeks, so i just have to play constantly for extended time in a row to get better.

same with everything else.

edit: Mexican guitar O_o lol.

Well at least im not on acoustic.. I love metal, death metal, heavy metal, heavy rock etc. i just cant stand acoustic for some reason and i get a urge to bitch slap someone that says they play acoustic when theyre in a band..

yeah.. im just about, power lol.

hopefully this guitar has a lot of metal power in the sound..

the only problem with using tabs to learn songs is you dont get special parts of learn the proper chord fingering and end up making your own inefficient way of doing it ~_~

i need to start watching metal method vids again.. xD

Watch John Petrucci. He's an excellent Metal guitarist. Learn some scales and music theory too. IF you pick it up fast, playing songs becomes easier.
