In Loving Memory

This is my second song i wrote. It's dedicated to someone i love but who has passed away. I hope you like it.

In Loving Memory

You were always there for me
You were there when i couldn't sleep
I could tell you the things that were on my mind
But how could i've been so blind
Thinking you'd be always there for me
Now i feel alone as i try to sleep
i keep on wishing there was something i could do
Now all that is left
is the memory of you

Every time i had problems
I could count on you
Everytime i was on my own
i had you
but now you're gone
and i'm still here
In Loving Memory

Sometimes i think back to the time you were still here
Thinking of all the things we've been trough
And every time i do, i feel some fear
Why did you deserve this?
why aren't you still here?

Every time i had problems
I could count on you
Everytime i was on my own
i had you
but now you're gone
and i'm still here
In Loving Memory

Sometimes i think this was for the best
You made me who i am
If there only had been a cure
If i had only known the answer
you would have been still here
And you would have survived your cancer

I was there when you were dying
I knew something was wrong
I could have told you i love you
but i kept strong
I kept thinking this was for the greater good
It'd be better this way
Thinking of all the pain you've been trough
In Loving Memory
from me to you.

Let me know when you posted it. like you, songs about people who died, really move me. Mostly because these are the songs that are honest and came from the heart.

Sounds great.
It reminds me of that Alter Bridge song.
