It seems overwhelming to many people in the beginning. But try working with the example code to start with... Check out the image links in that code, and what they do. Once you know that, you can replace these links with images of your own, to make your profile exactly how you want it!

Are you familiar with HTML? It's not far off from the codes UG uses.
Like: <font color="red">HELLO</font>

These codes have similarities, it's just that the profile is like, split up, so you have to change the comment box, links at the top, your favourite guitarists, etc. All seperately.

You're talking about the background on the left and right side of your profile, right? If so, you left out an essential part of the code... It should say this:

body {background: url(URL)}

Also, the code should always start with “<style type="text/css"><!-- “ and end with
“ --></style>”

So that makes this:

<style type="text/css"><!-- body {background: url(URL)} --></style>

The code should work. Follow these steps:
1. Copy this:
<style type="text/css"><!-- body {background: url(URL)} --></style>
2. Go here: http://my.ultimate-guitar.com/main....de=edit_profile
3. Go to the "About Me & Interests" tab
4. Paste the code you copied into the "About Me" field (where it says "[ html allowed ]")
5. Replace the underlined part of the code you pasted (URL) with the url of the image you want to use as a background:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y2...ud/blink182.jpg
6. Make sure there are no extra spaces or other characters that shouldn't be there...
7. Now it should work! (I tested it, it works!)
