Advanced Hybrid picking I From Marshall Harrison

Harrison is one of my Guitar Heroes

this guy can probably play any thing flawlessly

hes done amazing Transcripts "Rachmaninoff" and "Chopin" and probably one of the first guitarist to every play "Paganini's Moto Perpetuo" completely

his Economy picking is amazing as well as his Hybrid thus me wanting to share this great insight on his technique

anyway heres the video

Enjoy

yeah thats was my reaction to his playing when i first seen him in 06
i amost got lessons we had it worked out but then school came up
and relationship got in the way plus where he was teaching was like an hour drive away for me, so that didnt get to work out....geez i wish i would just said screw it and just go for it

i have many of his lessons sheets

ive had a few friends go in my places
all 3 of them are fantastic players but still dont match up to Harrison but yeah thats
he has some of the most complex lessons omg their finger twisters

some of these youtube videos dont really show case how far he can take it
and trust me when i saw him playing Wieniawski's 3rd Caprice it made me pratice for the next 3 weeks non stop before school during school after school and reapeat
getting down my arpeggios and Economy picking hybrid i was studying that video like my life depended on it

when im asked about my Jr in high school i say Harrison cause thats all i did during that time was practice my ass off
Wieniawski's 3rd Caprice

Some godly chops, I really dig the guy's fingers but not his playing, no slight intended.

oh yeah totally i got into Garsed 2 years after i saw Harrison

and not to long ago i found out that Harrison was actually one of Garsed Students

yep he attend M.I. (he actually had videos up of him when he was in M.I.)

my god now that you mention Brett Garsed i cant stop thinking about "Quid Pro Quo"
TJ Helmerich is also a great guitarist him and Stanley Jordan are like the God Father's of "Touch Play" which im studying at the moment

i really wished Brett Garsed and Shawn Lane Released a Duo album like Quid Pro Quo
they only worked to gather once

his playing is so advance its amlost like the 3rd coming of Allan Holdsworth
i understand what you mean im a big Holdsworth fan...but i cant really stand is Atonality but there are a few great songs he has

i felt the same way with Harrison at first theres a video of him some where playing really technical but sounds horrible, thus going me that Holdsworth feeling
fantasic playing but the music is like "wut?"

but actually i think Harrison is just to modest or shy,he can really compose
his work with BlackSheep was pretty good although it was little shreddy
but still some taste full stuff

he dose have a melodic side which i think hasn't really been shown fully at all

anyway yeah

Opinions opinions and all that jazzie fusion stuff

Garsed has a sense of melody that this guy doesn't. And Garsed is just so damn HOT.
