I don't know if it exists, but I imagine it does, could someone point me in the way of some good electronic shoegaze? Like synth pop meets shoegaze.

Check out the Depreciation Guild if you don't know em already. In Her Gentle Jaws is ****ing awesome. Spirit Youth is also pretty good, but I don't like it as much cos it's too poppy - you might like it more for that exact reason.

What I had in my mind was more synth heavy than this, but this is really good none the less, so thanks anyway.

to give it more context, this is what I was listening to at the time of asking.

Something propper cheesy and 80's (despite being from 2011), but with a bit more of a shoegazy vibe.
I don't even know if it exists, and it might sound horrible if it did, but I'm curious.

Candy Claws didn't do much for me either.
Miami Horror I quite liked, reminds me of Soundpool's Mirrors in your Eyes, though still not what I had in mind despite me liking it.
M83 are a band I keep meaning to try further than the handful of songs I know.
And Sun Glitters wasn't doing it for me either sorry.

Imagine something like this but more shoegazy, or dream poppy.

like I say it might not exist and I might be onto something, but I doubt it

I'm yet to see it, but a mate suggested I buy it today. I've heard a lot of good stuff about the soundtrack.

I think I'll take a punt with the new M83, the tracks I've heard have been quite good.

cheers for the effort, it's appreciated.

best movie of last year, although only like 4 tracks on it are like what you're looking for

look at my last.fm, (which I know you have as I've just got your request) I've had Electric Youth on all evening. Definitely looking forwards to hearing more original material by them.

Kavinsky seem alright, I notice it's on the OST, so I might just get that eventually.
Com Truise seem decent, but I'm not overly convinced. I get a bit of a Kraftwerk vibe in a strange way.
College, second comment sums it up "I kept waiting for this song to "go" somewhere. It didn't." It's not bad, but feels incomplete.
Maethelvin should be applauded for their cover alone, that's a work of art haha. It's decent enough, and reminds me a bit of Jean Michel Jarre's later works, just not as good.
FM Attack are decent enough, but a little bit too background for my liking.
Quite liking Kn1ght, builds nicely and keeps things interesting, with some tasty sounds.
and DatA had it's moments, but ultimately didn't grab me.

thanks again for the effort you've put in.

I adore that Highspire album, and Stella Luna EP.
In fact, I made an 8 track mix a few months back with a track from both of them on if anyone's interested.
http://8tracks.com/annihislater/met...10th-cosmic-mix

there's a few more shoegaze bands on it, but nothing anyone won't already know.

If True Widow fits under this genre, they're my favorite.

check out this band I saw last week. They've definitely got some shoegaze influence. Guitarist even plays a jag
