i wouldn't be so hard on sharpant, picking pickups can be difficult. i like the MM, but it is quite specialist, and it's not terribly versatile.

i'd see what tim suggests you go with this time, and maybe it'll work better for what you want.

If i had the time and money to do that dave I'd love to but unfortunately that is not the case.

I'd love to experiment with BKP's to find the one that suits me but i know that i like the Paf Pros so I'm just going to play it safe and have them re-installed and sell the BKP and put the cash towards my Fireman

i thought you didn't like your dimarzios when you decided to change for BKPs?

i'll take a look at your thread, but i'm not sure... i'm not too fussed on dimarzios to be honest. some of the noiseless single coils are quite nice (virtual vintage ones), but not that keen on a lot of their humbuckers... EDIT: ah, just realised you don't want new dimarzios... i think your questions have already been answered in there

sorry you didn't like the BKPs, by the way, changing pickups is quite a risk to be honest.
