During my Frank Ferret research, I found this:

Edit: Noticed a spelling error, but I'm leaving it in. In fact I might call him that from now on.

I wonder if he'd want to form a band with me. Mink and Ferret?

Yeah, he's most likely half caste.

Check out some of his stuff that he's done with The Psychedelic Furs. Pretty decent.

I see that everyone is talking about Chinese Democracy... I have a question for you guys. Which song off Chinese Dem. is most related to the old Guns N' Roses? I think Street of Dreams wins by a long shot. If anyone says Shackler's Revenge, I'll drive a blunt pole through your head.

I think Chinese Democracy is the closest sound to old Guns.

It sounds like a song they would have/could have written. Minus the Buckethead stuff. (Except in an alternate reality where the band never broke up and hired Buckethead as third guitarist ) It's got the same kind of feeling and energy as something from Appetite. Just with a 'modern' kind of sound.

Oh and when I saw Frank Ferret live he looked like he was black.

i love this term and mulatto. my mommy hates it though, she sees it as disrespectful to our kind.

VR usually covers GNR songs that are lower down and didnt have much axl writing involved - mr brownstone, its so easy, etc...

i didnt realize that cooper sang on the garden. im gonna have to relook at that.

Let's start this thread, as usual, with the two best live performances in GNR history!

Nightrain (2006) - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Eyizq...feature=related
Welcome To The Jungle (1988) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Eyizq...feature=related

My favourite version of Knocking On Heaven's Door is one from 1992, it's from a South American country, and Dizzy has a brilliant piano solo. It's about nine minutes long (the entire thing, not the solo).

YOUTUBE REMOVED IT

I genuinly think this is one of the greatest GNR performaces ever! Despite it being in 01 his then voice really suits it and its just perfect if you ask me! Vocals are so so good! And it was one of the very first traces of ChiDem i ever heard in about 03-04 so needless to say i had no idea what it was except for something that people around me definatly didn't have or know anything about!

So when the band finally does tour, lets assume Fink is present, will Bumble play Buckets parts? If Fink is not present then do you think that Bumble and Fortus will play both or just Bumble.

And for the record, i HATE Madagascar.

But Shacklers pwns all

Shacklers does indeed pwn all. Also, I'm guessing Bumble will play Bucket's parts, but probably improvise some of them too like he has done a few times with his little bridge solo in Better (the fast shreddy part of better, tiny solo)

I think the best is Rocket queen in Tokyo in '92. When Axl starts rapping "It tastes good, don't it?"

Check it out ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBJvDlo07EA
