Celestion G12K-85...Need Info...

Ive searched and Ive found nothing much about these. I have a pair of them in my Ampeg. I was wondering if anyone has any info on the Celestions? Looking for frequency response and voicing info.

They are the same as the G12k-100, I had the same problem, emailed Celestion and thats what they told me. They are great sounding speakers, sound like a cross between a g12-60 and a vintage 30 with a huge lowend.

I've got one that came out of a 80's model Crate G80XL. I've been told it's a lower wattage version of the G12K-100. The old Crate amp died so I'm using it in my Vypyr 30 now. It's a great speaker for Metal and Hard Rock.

^No its not a lower wattage version, its the exact same speaker, acroding to Celestion after futher testing they concluded that the G12k-85 could handle 15 more watts of power so they changed the specs to 100w and the name to a G12k-100.

I love the speakers they sound really good. I was just wondering about them. If my amp ever goes out I'll be able to have some nice speakers for other amps or juat make a cab.
