New Amp Day For Me :D
Okay, so as some of you know, I got a new head the other day, and I'm SURE that some have been wondering what it could be... so here goes
  The more knowledgeable of you may have guessed it here. Roobee valves!  That's right (:  Oh mai gawd, a Diezel Einstein!  But, like, omg Yng, donchu already have a 6505+?!? Yup, sure do, and so far they're living in harmony.    --------------------------------------------------- Was in a local...ish guitar shop and I decide to look at the second hand stuff like I always do. Walk up the stairs and look left and there's an Ibanez S470, I like the look of it and was actually considering buying it at one point. Felt really nice, played really well and the trem is pretty damn good. Anyway, I look ahead, and I see the Diezel D cutouts in the back of what looks like a small head... I think to myself "naah, what would a Diezel be doing here?" I walk round the front of it and HOLY CRAP. So, me being a total gain \/\/hore and tone nazi, instantly ask if they can hook it up to a cabinet of some sort. The nice man who I believe owns the shop did with no problem - Hooked it up to a really sh*tty 2x12 and I plug the S470 into it, and this biotch screeeeams. I look at the price... £1200... ouch... Call up my friend and ask him to look on the internet... cheapest he can find them new is £1550... So it's cheaper than new, but not by much. Cutting this short, I haggle slightly and get it to £950... frickin sweet! And I learn that this thing is only 6 months old. It's newer than my Peavey! Anyway, awesome amp, cleans are infinitely better than those of the 6505+ (not that that's amazingly hard, I know) and the gain is so much more articulate... and it currently has a full set of Ruby EL34s in it  And EL34 + high gain = teh sex imo.I have got this 36 second clip of it, but please bear in mind that I used Windows XP Sound Recorder (God knows why I don't have Audacity on my laptop) and it's extremely low volume and probably bad mic placement e.t.c - It was 60 second long but I had to use a crappy free .wav to .mp3 converter and for some reason I can't export .mp3 files on audacity so it cuts out randomly, but you get the general idea (: http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/.../all/play547860 -------------------------------- YNGEDIT: Quote:
