Eminence Private Jack speakers

Hi everyone, I was just wondering whether the private jack speakers in my cab are a good match for a peavey 5150. I bought the cabinet because it was a great deal, $350 for a 2x12 that regularly costs around 700. I haven't read much about eminence speakers and I was just wondering if it would be worth it to think about buying a cab with celestion vintage 30s or something. I haven't been able to try out the 5150 with other cabs so I don't know if I'm missing out or not. Basically what I'm trying to ask is if the eminence private jacks are a good speaker for metal, or if I could do better. Thanks in advance

why not try it and decide...?

they're greenback-like, with a little less top and fuller bottom

i have 1 v30 and 1 private jack in my cab. the pj is basically the opposite of 'toppy' with high gain. check my profile for a comparison clip. i've never played a 5150, so i wouldn't know from experience if it'd be a great fit for you.
