You spend your lunch hour in a music store instead of a restaurant. You see a piece of gear you have absolutely NO use for, but buy it anyway because it looks fun to play with. You have enough money left after paying the rent to buy food, but buy gear instead, because you can eat anytime, but "a deal this good won't be around until next payday". You put your gear in the back seat of your car and make your drummer ride in the trunk because it's too cold outside.

..when the first things you do when you get on the 'net are GG&A and eBay.
..when you hear the first thing that might be wrong with your sound and go off hunting for something that might fix it. GG&A corrupted me. I used to just spend on guitars every now and then. Now, I have a long list of shit I need to buy for reasons I can't figure out. I also get massive urges at the moment to just sell everything and start over again with just a guitar. Out of interest, does anyone else find a tone they like and then the next day play through the exact same thing and think that it's awful?
