My band covered Chainsaw Guts**** by Mayhem. A thread about Mayhem would be a much bigger success than slayer.

My statement still stands, slayer sucks.

I love Slayer, saw them in Hamilton in February I think, it was awesome. Seasons in the Abyss and Raining Blood are my all time favs, but I'll listen to any Slayer pretty much. It's kind of like no brain-er metal, you just listen and bang your head, not much else.

I don't like Slayer. I think that while Reign in Blood is one of the most (or perhaps THE most) important metal albums, musically it's mediocre. And everything they've done after Divine Intervention really blows, except for maybe CI which was just passable.

For the most part, Slayer sucks hard. Show No Mercy is almost all good, most of Reign in Blood is good, about half of South of Heaven is good... They just deteriorated from the get go. Lombardo is one of the best pure metal drummers ever though.

I saw it in Toronto, and it kicked ass. It was my first time seeing all the bands on the bill. Sound system kind of sucked though.

I love the stuff on Reign in Blood (well, like 5 or 6 songs of it...I never got around to buying it. I probably should). Seasons in the Abyss is pretty cool too, I've got that one. Some of the songs are kinda gay though, and I don't like the vocals on that one as much.
