His short films tend to be more experimental than his feature-length ones. Even Eraserhead, which is definitely his weirdest one. Speaking of Lynch, I need to watch Mulholland Drive.

Fujifilm, I choose you! On topic, I watched M.A.S.H. the other day. Gonna rewatch it sometime soon. EDIT: On Lynch, seen Mulholland Drive, his shorts, Dumbland series, Elephant Man, The Straight Story, INLAND EMPIRE. I think that's it.

Tarantino is a genius. Jackie Brown has always been overshadowed by Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs, but that movie is fantastic. I've not yet seen Inglorious Basterds, but that looks pretty good. Pulp Fiction is quite possibly my favourite film though.

My sister watched it for the first the time other day - and I hadn't watched it in over a year - and when Marsellus' character said
"What now? Let me tell you what now. I'm gonna call a couple of hard, pipe-hitting ******s to go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy?! I ain't through with you! Not by a damn sight. I'm gonna get medieval on yo' ass!" we both burst out laughing. It really is one of the funniest films of all time. I can't say the same for Hostel. I watched 20 minutes of it and thought it was a load of pretentious nonsense. I get the impression Tarrantino feels so highly of himself and his film-making abilities, that he can develop anything and call it satiral humour, shunning the non-believers and naysayers trying to put him back in his place.

just watched "Smokin' Aces"
fooking awful - terribly boring, terribly unrealistic, just was waiting for it to finish.

I'm aware of Jesus Christ, Superstar. This is different.
EDIT: Inglorious basterds had 3 flaws in my eyes. 1: It promised that which it did not deliver. I expected a movie with a ridiculous amount of badass nazi killing and it just didn't give me that. 2: It chose to focus on a stupid character(s) I didn't care about while sidelining awesome characters, which returns directly to number 1, promising that which it does not deliver. 3: The violence was almost all used up in the trailer. The scenes from the trailer are literally 90% of the movie's violent content. There were 10 or so 3 second scenes of violence. Also, the movie's production wasn't uniform. Some people got a cheesy introduction with their name plastered on the screen while others didn't. But I actually know how to edit film, so that's just a pet peeve.

But that last scene made the entire movie worth watching.

I'm in my high school's film class, it's amazing, I might look to it as a career.
Tarintino and Stone ftw.

So movie thread, on halloween I am staying up all night watching horror movies. Reccomend me the scariest/goriest films you can think of. Please no cannibal Holocaust. That movie is just *shudder*.
So far I have thought of: The Exorcist Day of the Dead 30 days of Night

If your school offers a vocational program for video production or anything like that, I urge you to take it. I though a class I took on video during my sophomore year was awesome until I took a two year course at my county's career center. ...To keep on topic, yes they're both amazing. Major props towards Natural Born Killers.
