Forced Listening (well, sorta)

So basically person 1 posts a song (preferably a youtube link), person 2 gives it a rating out of 10 (par example, 6/10)and a short explanation as to why he/she thinks that, posts a song, repeat cycle

yes, this thread is most likely doomed to fail.

I'll go first:

I'm listening to TSs song nao.

I like the beginning a lot, but I don't like her voice in the context of the song, it sounds out of place. granted, she has a nice voice.

amazing video though 6-7/10

Aren't you just the hilarious one, cornmancer. In other news, good thread idea, introduce people to some new music.

Slicer, song didn't really push any of my buttons; I'm not really a fan of those kinds of vocals. The clean guitar was cool though, I thought. Nice tone. Video's nice visually. 5.

WEBBDIT: Whoops, I'll look at the other link.

WEBBDIT 2: I am not listening to fucking Avenged Sevenfold for a whole bunch of reasons. This thread will be pointless if it's full of radio shit and Opeth. Post something people probably haven't heard before.

Why would you post an example of how to give something a rating out of ten?

Well, I stroll around the pit sometimes, and the general IQ seems to vary between 150 and 48

If you have heard it before, rate it. If not, you shouldn't be talking. I have not heard this song once on the radio. Way to go being a prick about it.

It's fucking Avenged Sevenfold. What do you want, a bunch of people posting the Rolling Stones? Also please do note how this is the metal forum.

I don't care if people post the rolling stones. This isn't the metal forum, and seeing as you consider yourself above actually listening to a song by a band you have a bandwagon grudge against, you shouldn't be talking shit about it.

to follow the rules, I'm listening to the song above me. posting mine in a second.

It's way too repetitive for me, sorry 4/10

It's not

I might just do that to irritate you. Mostly because the thread about who's listening to what is supposed to do this, but no-one actually listens to it, and we just have a thread full of "I've never heard of this"

Also, come on, there are scarier people than Paul Gilbert. He's too nice to be an object of fear.

which is exactly the reason why you're a cunt with felix the cat you should do as the opening post tells you guys to do.

EDIT: And I know, but I love you webbtje, I can't honestly try to really scare you

SG225s song:

Not my prefered genre of music, I tried listening through it entirely but there aint' much that sparks my interests. 5/10 because it reminds me of a certain soundtrack

Divine Heresy - Bleed the Fifth
(I wonder how this song sounds with the new singer)

fearofthemark: c'mon man, you're being pushed like a little girl, if you're really so annoyed just ignore teh kitteh and move on with the game at hand.

There's a slightly bold assumption in there that I've never actually heard it before. Interesting.

I mean Gilbert's just going to make me feel cheerful.

Yeah, used to like Divine Heresy but gone off them. They have their moments but I've never been a fan of the vocals; some of the choruses work and some of them are horrible. Most of the guitarwork is fine and Yeung's feet are great. New album's crap. 7-8 to be generous.
