This is the new thread, and will be the only thread for discussion aside from the release threads. If you want to submit a song, or get feedback, or discuss new ideas, this is te place.

Currently we're looking at another General Album, as well as some genre albums. The genres we've got some tracks for (but not enough!) would be ambient, trance, DnB, and Dubstep.

ABOUT SUBMISSIONS

If you want to submit your track to UG Electronic for consideration for the next Electronic Album, please read this!

If you are looking for feedback on a track that is not yet finished, please simply upload it to your UG profile and ask in this thread for crits. Click the Drop Box link below and upload your track to our SoundCloud Group there*. Please include:

The track title
Your pseudonym if you want one
Your UG name so we can get in touch with you
Any genre album this track might apply for (ie Ambient, Trance, DnB) Any other relevant information you see fit to share

The Drop Box has places for you to type all of this, so don't worry about putting them all in the file name or anything. If you're in doubt as to where to put something, just put it in the General Comments section. The higher the quality you submit to us the better, as if your track passes as-is, we'll simply download it from there.

*It is probably in your best interest to go ahead and activate the SoundCloud account it creates for this purpose, or to sign up before you submit. That way, you can go to the SoundCloud Group and see if your track has been reviewed yet.
If your track is:
Visible to the world through the group - It's passed.
Not yet visible because it needs to be moderated - It hasn't been reviewed by our Review Panel yet, or we'd like you to make some changes based on our feedback.
Not there at all - It didn't pass.

No one will see your track until the reviewing process is complete, save the Review Panel. You will be able to see it in the SoundCloud Group because you submitted it, but no one else (except our reviewers) can. Feel free to ask how your track is being reviewed by PMing captaincrunk or SteveHouse, but please give us some time to review it first.

i have actually. i know a few producers here and i'm going to get some production lessons from one of them starting this month, to learn the basics and get some tips. dj thera from holland (one of my favourite hardstyle producers) is coming to australia in february and he's going to give me a lesson and some of his favourite vst/vstis too that should get me off to a decent start haha. if i ever make anything good i'll be sure to let you know

Double post and I'm sorry, but this is totally irrelevant to my above post.

I think it would be a really cool idea for us to do remixes of each other's stuff on the next album. Here's how I envision it working.

1. Crunk edits OP to include everyone who would like to be remixed. Example: "SteveHouse - Something Completely Different and Succulent Poison." If possible those track names will be links to somewhere, in my case those tracks on my Soundcloud.
2. Somebody PMs me about it.
3. I render each individual track, or maybe in clumps (i.e. drums), to WAV files and send them along somehow. e-mail, upload, etc.
4. The remixer goes crazy.
5. The remix turns out as good as or better than the original.
6. Total victory.

If that's a good idea to you guys, feel free to add me as the first potential victim. SCD is here and Succulent is here.

i have about 20 songs in various stages of completion. some are pretty good, others are kind of just empirements that didnt really pan out. ill upload a couple of my better ones sometime

oh and most i guess you would call ambient techno. i dont really pay much attention to electro genres, i just tend to call it all electro
