one good song for a beginner is the intro to crazy train which is easy but sounds pretty damn good, and i learned it within like 10 minutes of buying my guitar,

u guys r retarted. theres no "right" or ?wrong? way 2 play a song. just as long as its the right notes. im tired of seeing all u tab readers thinking that u know how 2 play guitar. if u really knew how a guitar works, u'd know that u can make a song appear on any part of the neck; it will just be on a different string. a note is 5 frets higher on the neck from the string above it, and 5 strings lower from the string below it. 4 example, G is on the 10th fret of the A string. the same G is also on the low E string on the 15th fret, and on the G string open. So now that u know, figure out ur own way of playing a song. just as long as it?s the right notes.

I agree about Weezer's El Scorcho, it takes some work, but the repetition is good practice. Also John Mayer or however you spell it, his songs are easy to play too.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I wrote that tab guide! BAD! :-D
I recommend Nirvana songs, so easy!!! Then when you've done that try Metallica, quite alot of their songs are pretty easy (ignoring ALL solos) and make you feel like a genious. Then get better and better. =D Daryl

^^^^ no if the x is in the tab it means you have to mute that string
EG: 5 X 5 X 3 X you have to mute those strings (its best to mute at the last chord you played) just put your fingers slightly over the strings ![]()

An easy metallica solo would be ermmmmmmmmmm I think it's the First Solo in Sanitarium? It's slow and sounds good. :-) Slayer, don't both trying until you're fast enough and they sound random most of the time so it's not that cool. :-D

Yeah, I just posted the right version of "No Pride" by Green Day, from their Insomniac album. I learned that by myself, without any sites, so one day I came on here and though to myelf "I'll go see who got it right". And whadda you know everyone else was playing it really strangely. So I submitted mine and it rests at a 5 star rating ![]() That's a really unapprecaited song by Green Day. I cover it all the time and the crowds love it. Right Here: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs...de_ver3_tab.htm
