Talking Into the Sunset WIP (Western Movie Metal-Sounding Thing?) (GP4/GP5/MIDI) [C4C]

I was just fooling around on the guitar when I came up with this riff that caught my attention. Then, this song was born. Well, its not really a song yet, just a beginning part, but I wanted a few opinions before I continue this. I'll continue working on the song, but just crit what I have so I can fix it later. As for as the song goes, I'll probably break it down with some sort of acoustic part or something. There's only a point I can build the same part up to. Please note that I really had no experience writing "western" type things, I just wrote what came to mind. I will C4C. Enjoy!

Ah yeah!
You've been playing too much of that Red Dead Redemption, haven't you boy!

I ended up creating some [spagetti] western-ish licks and a decent chord progress because of that game, but a full out song like this is impressive. Ending was abrupt, but where else can you go with something like this?

I know the tragedy of the western; it's difficult to make them into a full length song.

Nah, its a Work in Progress. I'm getting there. I kind of broke the last part down and converted it to acoustic chords and I've tried a few different things after but I'm still think about what I'll put after. And yeah this song was inspired by Red Dead xD. It was also somewhat inspired by the original soundtrack to this old mod to an old game called Quake III called Smokin' Guns. Best OST to a fan-made mod ever.

Sorry for the late return! Only just now saw your crit on my piece (thanks!).

First reaction I had to this piece that it definitely sounds videogame inspired (Gerudo Valley sprung to my mind) but as a whole it's got a really nice atmosphere.

Guitar at bar 26 are cool, the chugging rhythm fits very well

The whistle sounds creepy in a good way that gives a distinct vibe to the song

The progression does go on rather long though, maybe add some variational chords here and there to spice it up a bit? Just a suggestion

So far so good though it can go anywhere still depends on what comes in after it

I have an updated version on my profile, after the last build-up, the distortion fades out, and the acoustic part changes to what the distortion guitar was playing, and then I'll have that lead into another part.
