Melodic Metal Contest
I've noticed there aren't many contests dedicated to a specific genre of music, so here's one I've decided to start. The rules are simple, you have until the 30th of June to record a song either by you or a cover that fits the genre of melodic death metal. Bands like Kalmah, Norther, Children of Bodom, Wintersun etc. are examples of this genre. You may submit your entry in anyway, if you wish to enter post here with the song your going to do. To get a high score you will want to think about the following things:
Song Choice: Does the song fit the genre well? Technique: Was your playing simple and dull or did you use techniques to make the song interesting? Examples are use of harmonics, muting and vibrato. Accuracy: Did it sound like you messed up or was it a nice tight recording? Your entry will be given a score of 1-10, voting will be done on an external site I'll have setup. No one really "wins" the contest but it's a great way to get some feedback on your playing. CURRENT ENTRIES: satanicluju celitus Trey Spruance Random3 Last edited by 666WildChild666 : 06-21-2010 at 03:06 AM. |

Alright, just got back from vacation so sorry about this. You can submit in a video, MP3 whatever. Final submissions are put here, I will setup a thread for all the submissions on the 31st. Submissions have until 11:59 PM EST on the 30th. Good luck.

I guess I'll do this. I don't have a video of me actually playing the song, but I do have this.
