Zoom G9.2TT vs RP1000

Hey UG,

Been looking at pedals and those two seem to be pretty impressive.... What are your opinions on both of them? The Zoom pedal is tube driven and might be too good to be true...

Thanks!

The RP1000 has a looper and at least $120 more expensive (depending on discounts). The G9.2TT has more expression pedals. I wouldn't worry about the tube.

I think the RP1000 may be a better unit, but I have a G9.2TT and like it quite a bit. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I got my G9.2TT used in perfect condition for $175.

I would download both manuals and read them carefully. Then decide on price and features. I think both are good tonewise.

And would buying one of these multi-effects boards be better then say buying 2-3 effects pedals?

Actually, if you bought them new, the RP1000 is only $30 more than the G9.2TT. And as far as if they are better than individual effect pedals, that is subjective. Some claim they hear a difference, some don't.

TBH, I don't know why you're looking at a multi-effects board since your Spider Valve already has effects built in.

Well, I was looking at things like the Line 6 UX2 for recording and came across these. For $100 more they seem like a hell of alot of things to do with them and are both applicable recording devices with software. I also like to play with headphones at night to be respectful and the rp50 doesn't cut it.

I see that they now have a $100 instant rebate. Good deal on the RP1000.

Those Line 6 Pod Studio interfaces are pretty good. I used to have a Guitar Port.

Yeah, but that's where I'm stuck at. Is the $100 difference from the Studio to the rp1000 going to deliver the value? I guess it comes down to what the application will be.

Found a RP1000 for $250... worth it? Used, but in good condition and even has the manual. :O

For that price, it would already be at my house.
