except filler shrinks. it doesnt really look like much of a problem though.

Since your painting over it, you'd use auto filler, or bondo, or bog or whatever you wanna call it. that doesnt shrink

Thanks guys. This is just a mock up, by the way. As for the filler, at this point, it is SUCH a small aesthetic detail that I don't care if it looks like it does now, I just wanted to make sure it wont affect the play too much. All that's left to do is crown the frets, put 1 or 2 more coats of clear on the neck, finish the art on the body and then clear that, give the pickguard some shaping so that it fits around the pup covers nicely, finish, and put a logo on the headstock, and set this bitch up

Okay, this build has been basically done minus clear coat and setup since the middle of november, which is very frustrating. It has been too cold here to do a coat of clear. My dad is an architect and he wants to take it to a cabinetmaker that would spray it for us, the problem is that they say they don't use acrylic, which is what my dad and I used for the base coat. Can I just spray it outside in the 28* and then bring it inside to dry? Should I find a way to make it work with the cabinetmakers? I really want to get this finished up before Christmas break is over.
