Peavey renown 450 watts

So i had a look in cash converters today for a search for a new amp and i stumbled across a Peavey renown 450 watts for $280 (Australian dollars) i was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a good deal i don't know alot about this amp i had a play of it and it was amazing seemed in good condition too.
But these amps are fairly old too and i want something that will last me a few years.

Thanks for your help

Dont worry if its a tube amp. Tube amps are easy to fix. If its solid state, however.....

450w SS amp from the 80s?

Sounds like rape to me. A quick google search gave me some HC reviews. Reading through them the amp's distortion is said to not be that great, but if you like it, go for it.

You do know that if it dies, it remains dead?
