yeah we did a colour comp before. It's not my favorite idea but it works.
I repropose drunk comp get drunk and write a piece. post it unedited, preferably with pictures of the original manuscript (and pictures of the booze etc for fun)

That sounds like a huge amount of fun. It's not the best idea for me to get drunk in my home with a little one running about, but I'm sure I can organise it so she is in bed when I'm drunk.

both have already been done. in fact i think i've run at least one version of each maybe more than that of the colour one as i used to always write about colours. but both are good fun. it'd be good to have something new though. make it an intoxication competition. not suggesting anything just broadening the phrasing.

yeah i know for a fact youve done both. i remember chris doing a drunk comp too. I just think it's a more fun idea than a color one and would be good to get more interest in the competition season. And im not sure about expanding intoxication cause it would isolate the poems more depending on the intoxication. it could work but drunk is just more of a classic route to go and maybe more inviting.

its funny that thats what people think people write while they're high.
anyway. color comp drunk comp, blah blah. how about something like. everyone has to listen to a pre determined song and sit down and write whatever they feel to it. and this of course would be a sigur ros song(s). i suggest using sigur ros because i think this might provoke some interesting imagery beyond the usual pieces that are submitted for competitions (or the website in general ((not that the writing is bad or unoriginal, maybe this will give people a mindset they've never been in before while writing (((not maybe, it will))) ). using parenthesis is my new thing, get used to it. also, i know this may be deemed a bad idea by a select group of (idea) standardizers, but, if anyone does have interest in it let me know and i will pick songs and blah blah.

I like that one as well^
Also, I know that's not people typically write like when they are high. Although, I did have a friend who was really big into hallucinogens and he wrote some crazy shit when he was high. He was doing a "creative writing degree" and basically got by on the fact he got high 3 times per week.

I try to avoid this place as much as possible if I'm high... drunk, I cant help it
 I still think we should do a minimalist quicky comp, 1-5 lines, entries capped at 6. Nice and easy

itd be cool to see a big comp after steves dont you think? instead of just a bunch of quickys get the song one or something going maybe to break it up.
