Fo' real. Carl dealt with that shit way more up-close than Rick did, and he's handling it better. These last two episodes have felt like sort of a drawn out waiting game though. It needs to start picking up next episode.

I don't know. I think the next one will be exciting but incredibly shitty for Rick's people. They seriously have to get their shit together. Get some snipeshow parties happening from the far corners of rooms out of the dark windows and into peoples' heads. So sick and tired of seeing them mope around the ****ing prison like a bunch of beached seals. |

I knew mah nigga Morgan was gonna be coming back soon! Very good episode. The writing seemed much more reminiscent of season 1. This is how the slower paced episodes should be.

Lennie James is a terrific actor. Absolutely fantastic, he made this episode the best out of the series.

Anyone read the comics? It's a lot better than the show - of course.

So, this was easily the best episode of this show since the pilot. Focusing only on a few characters really helped, instead of constantly cutting back to the prison or Andrea at Woodbury.
Apparently the writer of this episode is also the new showrunner, so hopefully this a good sign of things to come for the show. |

My buds and I did a drunk marathon of the first season this evening, and I realized that the last episode was silly as ****. It didn't match the mood of the series at all. Where everything else is focused on survival and desolation, you get really immersed in this world, and then this takes you right back out.
I really don't feel like it was really necessary. I mean it's kind of cool how it showed the science behind the transformation, and it gave the feeling of 'oh shit the CDC is gone, there really is no hope' but they could have done it in a much better way. And the whole everyone is infected part. But obviously it wasnt used in the books and Kirkman still conveyed these ideas well without it. And the dialogue in the episode was mediocre. Does anyone else feel the same? |

I actually really enjoyed that episode. Maybe it's just because when I was watching it I was so immersed in the season that I didn't pay attention to any flaws. But I thought it was pretty cool. As far as the whole 'taking you out of the survival world', I think it played a cool part for the audience. We felt relieved that they had this 'safe' place, but we also knew that it wasn't gonna last forever. It sort of leads up to the safety of the farm going away and finally even the prison's safety going away.
