I've never found diSEMBOWELMENT to be depressing. More so just etherial and trancendental. One of the best albums ever though.

Brave Murder Day by Katatonia is pretty depressing,very Romanticist kind of sorrow filled vibe. But i know the unimaginative drumwork and bad drum production turns people off.Among many other aspects.

Like you said the drumming is boring but aside from that it sounds pretty good. Thanks for the rec, I don't think I have heard them before (maybe once briefly but I am not sure).
