Withering October is my studio project from Stavanger, Norway.
It is a mix of a different genres, but a red thread could perhaps be gothic rock/metal.

I updated my first post to include links and more songs, so I think it deserves a little bump. :-)

I have finished a new song!
It is called "Bergtatt", which means something like Spellbound.

I'd be very happy if you gave it a listen!
And if you like it, or not, whatever, I really appreciates comments

Bergtatt (Intro)
Bergtatt pt. 2

The intro is an acoustic part, and the rest is acoustic/symphonic and metal.

The music is pretty impressive, but your logo is an eyesore. It looks like it should be on the front of a boxed set of Christmas CD's.

Thanks for the input, FrauV! Which logo are you referring to? The one here on the forum, or the one on the website?

Wow. Just fantastic. Your songs have such an atmosphere to them. I seriously had chills through all of Cosmic Shining. I can see what you mean about not knowing what Genre to classify you as. There are elements of Melodic Death Metal, Power Metal, and Progressive Metal. If I had to pick one, I guess I would go with Power Metal. The only criticism I have is that the vocals on Forever Frost could use some work. They aren't bad, by any means, just unpolished. Everything else, though, was pure excellence.

If you're into Groove/Thrash Metal, check out my band, Shadow Cell:

We've got some Prog influences, especially in the Bass department.

Thanks a lot, Blktiger0! I really appreciate your feedback!
I see what you mean about the vocals, and I agree that they are a bit rough and unpolished, and maybe one of the weaker links on the album.
Power Metal, really? :p What I associate with that is early Sonata Arctica and similar bands, which bands are you referring to?

The album is now also available on Spotify through the link in the first post!
